Prishtina, March 10, 2026 – The Life Sciences & Healthcare Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo (AmCham) held a meeting with representatives of the Price Determination Commission of the Kosovo Medicinal Agency (AKPPM) to discuss the methodology for determining the prices of medicinal products and the related legislative framework.
The meeting was attended by Virtytë Krasniqi Shala, Chairwoman of the Price Determination Commission, together with Commission members Sulltane Havolli and Edon Muçaj. The discussion brought together institutional representatives and AmCham member companies operating in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.
The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to exchange views on the implementation of the pricing methodology for medicinal products, regulatory clarity, and the practical implications of the current framework for companies operating in Kosovo’s pharmaceutical market. Representatives of member companies highlighted the importance of maintaining a predictable, transparent, and sustainable regulatory environment that supports both patient access to medicines and the long-term stability of the healthcare market.
Participants also discussed the broader legislative and regulatory context surrounding pharmaceutical pricing, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue between institutions and industry stakeholders in order to ensure that policy measures are implemented in a way that promotes efficiency, transparency, and alignment with international best practices.
