Prishtina, January 15, 2026 – Delegates of the General Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo convened yesterday for the regular annual meeting, in accordance with the provisions of the Chamber’s Bylaws, to approve the 2025 activity and financial reports, the Strategic Vision 2026–2030, the 2026 Annual Program and Supporting Budget, and to elect four new titled members of the Board of Governors.
The meeting was also attended by Amy Reichert, Counselor for Political and Economic Affairs, and Ramatu Muhammed, Economic Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Pristina.
Chairing the Annual Meeting, Besarb Blakaj, Vice President of the Board of Governors, spoke about the important role the American Chamber of Commerce played throughout 2025 as a strong voice representing the interests of the private sector. He emphasized the importance of bringing new people, fresh ideas, and renewed energy into the Board of Governors.
The Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, Arian Zeka, stated that despite an increasingly challenging business environment in Kosovo in 2025, the Chamber remained highly active, visible, and fully engaged, serving its members every day of the year. During 2025, AmCham delivered more than 105 activities, including forums, roundtables, committee meetings, trainings, business visits, high-level meetings, international engagements, and community initiatives, thereby reaffirming its commitment to staying close to its members and responding in a timely and practical manner to their priorities and concerns. He also presented the Strategic Vision 2026–2030, built on the experience of 2025 and the realities faced by members, positioning AmCham as the leading platform for investment promotion and economic diplomacy, a strong advocate for a competitive and predictable fiscal and regulatory environment, a driver of digital transformation and workforce development, and a champion of ESG principles and responsible business leadership.
With a majority of votes, the General Assembly elected Lorik Fejzullahu of Birra Peja USA Inc. as the new President of the Board of Governors, Raif Gashi of Lab Oil as Vice President of the Board of Governors, Dren Deva of the U.S.-based Tech Fusion Ventures as Secretary General, and Shkendije Himaj of Finance in Action as Treasurer, all for a two-year term.
The newly elected titled governors join seven untitled members of the Board of Governors: Teuta Sahatqija (TDS Consulting), Arianit Fazliu (Kutia Inc.), Pleurat Hundozi (Crimson Capital), Dardan Shala (Devolli Corporation), Lorent Gordi (Philip Morris International), Qendresa Smajli Gashi (Capital Company), and Shkumbin Mucolli (Burger King), further strengthening the diversity of company and industry representation within the Board.
The newly elected President of the Board of Governors, Lorik Fejzullahu, stated that the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo will continue to remain the most credible voice of the business community in Kosovo and will stay firmly committed to representing the interests of its members and the private sector at large.
