Business Roundtable on Strengthening Commercial Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in Kosovo

Prishtina, July 28, 2026 – The Arbitration Center of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, in partnership with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce, hosted a Business Roundtable focused on the future of commercial dispute resolution in Kosovo.

In her opening remarks, Aulonë Sinani, Secretary General of the Arbitration Center, highlighted the importance of strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and their role in fostering a more efficient and reliable business environment.

Zmarak Khan, Deputy Chief Counsel at the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Matthew Drossos, Partner at White & Case, and Cristen Bauer, Director of External Affairs at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Ciarb), shared their expertise and perspectives with members of the business community and arbitrators during an engaging discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and future development of arbitration and mediation in Kosovo.

The discussion provided a valuable platform for exchanging insights and exploring how alternative dispute resolution mechanisms can better serve the needs of the business community, contributing to a more predictable and business-friendly environment in Kosovo.
