Prishtina, January 19, 2026 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo participated in the marking of the 26th anniversary of the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK), reaffirming its continued support for strengthening cooperation between public institutions and the private sector in advancing a transparent and efficient fiscal environment.

On this occasion, AmCham Kosovo’s Executive Director, Arian Zeka, took part in a panel discussion titled “TAK–Business Partnership: Trust and Transparency,” where he highlighted the substantial progress achieved by TAK over the years. He emphasized that these reforms have played a critical role in strengthening trust between the tax authority and the business community.

“TAK today stands as one of the most advanced public institutions in the region, setting important benchmarks in transparency, digitalization, and service delivery,” said Zeka. “The continuous improvements in its approach have contributed to a more predictable and business-friendly environment in Kosovo.”

AmCham Kosovo particularly welcomed TAK’s forward-looking plans to introduce additional electronic services, which are expected to further facilitate business operations and reduce administrative burdens for taxpayers. These efforts are seen as an important step toward enhancing efficiency and compliance while supporting private sector growth.

During the event, AmCham Kosovo also expressed its strong support for the Strategic Vision TAK 2030, presented by TAK’s Director General. The vision aligns closely with AmCham’s long-standing advocacy for a modern tax administration model, one that prioritizes taxpayer education, guidance, and partnership, while reducing reliance on punitive measures.
