Prishtina, April 28, 2026 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo officially launched the “Strengthening Private Sector Advocacy for Workforce Reform in Kosovo” initiative, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with a broad coalition of partners committed to advancing workforce development reforms.

The coalition brings together: American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, American Councils for International Education Kosova, Edutask, Jahjaga Foundation, AAB College, Universum College, Kosovo United States Alumni (KUSA), Next Gen Networks Institute, RIT Kosovo, Society of Certified Accountants and Auditors of Kosovo (SCAAK), Association of Wood Processors of Kosovo, Association of Fruits and Vegetable Processors of Kosovo (PePeKo), Kosovo Association of Information and Communication Technology (STIKK), and YMCA Kosovo.

Supported by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), this initiative aims to drive concrete reforms that improve the recognition of private training and certifications, create incentives for employer-led training, strengthen public-private cooperation in education and vocational training, and expand opportunities for internships and work-based learning.

During the launching event, AmCham and coalition partners emphasized their shared commitment to transform this initiative into a sustained, long-term movement that strengthens the link between education and the labor market, enhances workforce competitiveness, and supports Kosovo’s economic growth.

Through joint advocacy, evidence-based policymaking, and structured dialogue with public institutions, the coalition will work to ensure that workforce development becomes a central pillar of Kosovo’s reform agenda.
