Prishtina, February 19, 2026 – American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo hosted the 4th anniversary celebration of the Kosovo Women in Energy and Mining initiative, bringing together members, institutional partners, and international allies who continue to support its mission of advancing women’s leadership and professional inclusion in one of Kosovo’s most strategic sectors.
Over the past four years, the initiative has evolved into a strong platform for dialogue, mentorship, and advocacy, promoting greater representation of women across the energy and mining value chain. The anniversary event served not only as a celebration of progress achieved, but also as a reaffirmation of the shared commitment to building a more inclusive, resilient, and forward-looking energy sector.
The gathering was honored by the presence and remarks of U.S. Embassy in Kosovo Chargé d’Affaires Anu Prattipati, Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation Mimoza Kusari Lila, Deputy Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo Eva Palatova, Chief Executive Officer of KOSTT Trim Tërnava, and AmCham Executive Director Arian Zeka.
In his address, Zeka emphasized that empowering women in energy and mining is not solely a matter of equality, but a strategic economic imperative. He highlighted that sectors undergoing rapid transformation—driven by digitalization, decarbonization, and regional market integration, require diverse leadership, technical expertise, and inclusive decision-making. He noted that progress in workforce development and energy security cannot be achieved without fully unlocking the potential of women professionals, entrepreneurs, engineers, and executives.
Reflecting on the broader mission of AmCham’s Women and Leaders engagement, he underscored that real change occurs when inclusion moves beyond statements of support and becomes embedded in institutional culture, corporate governance, and public policy. He called for continued collaboration between the private sector, government institutions, and international partners to create pathways for mentorship, professional advancement, and leadership opportunities for women across all levels of the industry.
